Please help us pray for the following needs...  updated July 22, 2010

PRISON MINISTRY
Bill is in the process for authorization to start visiting Easterling Correctional Facilty in Clio, AL. This is where he has two Spanish-speaking students who have been taking Bible courses through the mail. Hopefully they will be able to progress more rapidly and also have better training since some of it will be in person. Pray for this path to fully open in God's time!

Bill is scheduled to go to Natchez August 27-28, September 17-18, October 22-23, November 19-20, and December 10-11 for preaching and teaching.

FRIENDLY FELLOWSHIP
Prayer meetings continue with Mike and Trudy. They are an encouragement to us--we are blessed to be able to share and pray together for each others needs (ministry, financial, family, etc.).

MINISTRY STATUS
Effective July 1, 2010 the former Southern District MultiCultural Ministry has been incorporated as part of the EMC Department of MultiCultural Ministries.  Most of the former ministry activities remain active.  Please pray that our supportes will quickly transition to sending their support to EMC Headquarters (PO Box 17070 Indianapolis, IN 46217)

NEW AVENUES OF MINISTRY
The Rev. Dr. Jackson Kariuki (of Kenyan origin) has started a new congregation in Kennesaw, GA and is interested in joining the EMC. Pray for guidance in this process.

There are several new contacts from ethnic ministers in the Atlanta, GA area. Pray for the Lord to guide us in handling these inquiries with wisdom.

Bill has just learned of a great new opportunity to do ministerial training to Spanish-speaking lay leaders in Gainesville, GA! This could eventually lead a to new EMC congregation in that city--perhaps more than one!

Bill and Lisa will be conducting cross cultural workshops in four churches around the metro Atlanta for CEF this August (four dates).

ETHNIC AMERICA NETWORK
Bill is the official representative of the EMC to the Ethnic America Network . This should be a great learning opportunity and will provide more contacts for networking in multicultural ministry. He went to Denver, CO January 6-9 for the annual EAN leadership retreat, and helped with ministry strategies on a national level. What an honor it is to be part of such a forward-thinking, Biblically sound ministry network!

Throughout this year, we will continue working with EAN in development of the 2012 EAN Ministry Summit to be held in Spartanburg, SC.
